Abstract
Purpose: Metal Artifact in CT examination is a factor that inhibits accurate diagnosis. The purpose of this study was to find out the usefulness of GSI MAR Mode.

Materials & Method: This study compared 17 patients who visited the main office from August 31 to December 31, 2018 using GE Revolution 256 (GE Health Care, USA) to have metal inserted in their knees by examining them in GE MAR mode and applying MAR mode option to MMI.

Result: Quantitative analysis in the results of this study showed that the Mono HU, SD MAR HU and SD values of Muscle and Vessel in the SPSS Statistics (ver23) response t met statistical usefulness and the mean difference between SNR and CNR Mono MAR in the knee with the metal inserted did not meet statistical usefulness and the difference in the average Mono mAR in the opposite knee met statistical usefulness. A qualitative analysis showed that MAR Mode was well implemented for six out of seven people.

Conclusion: It is judged that the application of GSI MAR during the lower extremity angiographic CT examination has sufficient effect in reduction of metalworking defect and in vessel implementation.
